历史系提供全球课程，让学生接触到对人类过去的有纪律的研究. 作为文科的基石, 学生可以上历史课充实自己, 发展他们的观点和对环境的理解, 提高他们的创造力和分析能力. 专业学生学习的课程强调知识的广度和理解的深度. Through a combination of survey courses and focused seminars they learn to: read and analyze scholarly sources; interpret the past through historical documents; practice historical empathy; devise and execute research strategies; and craft meaningful historical narratives with evidence.
